Apply on Partner SitePaterson Health & Social Care are seeking experienced Male and Female Support Workers for a 1:1 supported living service in High Wycombe.
For the role you would need:
Previous experience supporting with Down's Syndrome & Autism.
Knowledge of using Makaton and supporting with limited verbal communication.
Ability to ensure a calm & predictable environment.
The shifts are as follows:
7 days a week - 07.00-22.00
Additional staff for 2:1 support from 10.00-18.00
Waking nights 21.00-07.00
All lone working shifts (apart from the 2:1; 10.00-18.00 shifts)
A shadow shift would be required prior to the first shift due to a high level of challenging behaviour

What our Support Workers do:
Delivery of high quality care.
Ensuring clients independence, comfort and dignity within their home.
Provide care in accordance with current best practices, following policy and procedures.
Supporting with daily tasks, such as; cooking, cleaning, personal care, shopping and hobbies.
Providing emotional support and companionship
Keeping records of client support.
About you:
Ability to provide support in a home/supported living environment.
Experience of lone working.
Full UK driving license – desirable
A proactive and can-do approach.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to use own initiative.
