Seven Social Care are looking for an Early Help Intervention Worker to start an exciting new role in the Intensive Family Support Team in Manchester. The contract is initially for 3 months, with the possibility of placement extension.

You will work with children, young people and families who often have long-standing and complex needs who are unable to affect change without support. Successful early intervention with these families provides a substantial opportunity to be empowered to make decisions and changes to improve outcomes in a restorative way. You will work as a case coordinator and will be in a prominent place to advocate for families needing intensive support in an effective and coordinated way and working together with children, young people and families will empower them to become more independent members of the community and less reliant on statutory services. You would lead the development of a robust tailored multi-agency family action plan to bring about changes to help them achieve their full potential.
To manage and coordinate an identified caseload of complex/stronger families delivering appropriate evidence based interventions, liaising with families, carers and other professional where appropriate to ensure that a support package is in place to meet their needs.
To work persistently with families to gain their trust and respect to ensure their engagement with identified services.
Maintain regular contact with families, working with them in their home or other community venues for an agreed period of time.
Experience: At least one year experience of using practice models to assess risk, assess needs and action plan with families and individuals
Qualifications: An appropriate professional qualification, i.e., Health, Education, Social Work, Youth Justice, Early years, Community, Mental Health or any other relevant professional qualification
Compliance: Up to date Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37 hours (Full Time)
