NeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants or suitable candidates who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community.
Successful candidates will be willing to help people adapt to their limitations, but also strive to reach their goals. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to implement behavioural, psychological, and cognitive strategies, as well as support with daily living activities. Therapy Assistants should be confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.
Please briefly describe the client’s difficulties:
Head injury and spinal injury full time wheelchair user
Support with prompts for personal care in the mornings Support with undertaking physio program after school and attendance of activities.
Implementation of MDT programs
Exploration of wider community
Attendance of activities swimming
Collection form school x1 day a week.
What are the activities required?
Personal care, prompts, support with acces to community
Completion of Physo program engagemtn in age appropriate activitiesTherapy Assistant/Support worker particular experience:
Working with young male clients in the family home and out in the community.
Used to working with the wider MDT and implementing physio and OT programs.
Experience of personal care, head injury experience, understanding of spinal injuries, working with those in wheelchairs.
Hours Available: after school 4 days excluding the Tuesday from around 3 to 6.30’ish
£10-14per hour depending on experience.
Successful Candidates will:
* Have access to full Training including Brain Injury Awareness Training

Successful candidates must:
* Be Reliable
* Be Adaptable
* Be Resilient
* Have at least three-six months experience of working in a support worker role, in the past three years.
* Have a Full UK Driving License (advantageous)
* Have Excellent Communication skills
* Have Experience in the field of Psychology
* Willing to become self-employed
