The role
Oxford City Council has an opportunity for two Building Safety Managers to manage higher-risk buildings within its portfolio on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the building safety case and provide information as and when required to the new Building Safety Regulator. The successful candidate will also provide support with the management of building related health and safety compliance on the Council’s housing and commercial investment properties when and where required.
You will be working within an innovative and forward thinking team who provides excellent customer service, where you can utilise your strong interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, have proven fire safety expertise, supported by a formal qualification and a track record of delivering sometimes complex projects.
You will need to be self-motivated, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and be an effective communicator, possess negotiation and influencing skills with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, partners and external agencies both orally and in writing, including the compilation of reports.
