Quality Inspector - Goods in

Location: Burgess Hill area - due to rural workplace location it is essential to be a driver and have your own vehicle. Plenty of free parking on site for staff.

Permanent full time role

Shift pattern 4 days on, then 4 days off. Working hours are (Apply online only) when on shift

Salary £22500 plus shift allowance of further £2500 per year. Excellent company benefits on offer

The role:

To work as part of the Goods Receiving team to ensure the efficient, accurate and timely receipt of all incoming shipments in accordance with company procedures and to meet all operational requirements. Provide the highest level of service to all company departments and customers.

Responsibilities and duties:

Receive and inspect all incoming goods

Evaluate all certification and documentation

Ensure items are received undamaged and in the correct packaging to meet shipping regulations and requirements, particularly any hazardous goods

Liaise with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and issues

Input and record relevant data on IT systems

Move and handle all parts and products in accordance with company regulations

Use Counter balance/Reach Forklift equipment within the warehouse - full training can be given if you don't have this experience already.

Be aware and work within company Health and Safety guidelines

Effectively communicate and liaise with all departments as required

Liaise effectively with freight and courier companies on all receipts as required

Carry out safety checks and ensure all equipment is in good working order prior to use

Adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant

Experience and competencies required:

Good knowledge of warehouse disciplines

Good problem solving ability

Self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy environment

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Numerate and methodical

Accurate with good attention to detail

Good computer literacy levels
