Role: Occupational Health Advisor
Salary: £36-38k
Hours: Part time, 3 days (22.5 hours)
Location: Doxford, Sunderland

Amber Mace is working with an established Occupational Health provider looking to expand their team of Occupational Health Advisors in Sunderland. Our client provides effective service and advice on work related issues and health surveillance programmes.

They are offering a competitive salary for the ideal candidate, who will be ambitious, self-motivated and confident. This position provides you with the opportunity of establishing your own area, networking with clients and being part of a market leading team in the UK. The occasional travel to Durham and Newcastle will be required on an adhoc basis for Fit for Work Medicals and wellbeing activities. Your role will include:
• You will conduct health surveillance and provide reports
• You will provide assessments and screening, reporting the outcomes in line with our clients procedures, such as Spirometry, audiometry, general medicals, drug and alcohol testing, fitness for role assessments, skin surveillance, driver medicals and night-worker medicals
• Provide fitness medicals, Chester Step Test and Skin Assessments
• Evaluate results of medicals and surveillance
• You will be responsible for case management, providing reports for the OH Managers when required
• Provide clear advice regarding health and wellbeing and escalate where required
• Create risk assessments and report appropriately if required

Requirements:
• Registered General Nurse, NMC registered
• You must hold a valid NMC Pin
• For this position, you are required to hold an Occupational Health Qualification (degree/diploma)
• Ideally Part 3 on the register but not essential
• Previous experience within the Occupational Health sector
