M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions is recruiting for a Breakdown Supervisor to join our growing team, working from our office Castleford.

M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions is responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles across the whole of M Group Services, supplying the Utilities, Transport, Data and Telecom sectors.

We are at the heart of M Group Services, keeping all group business operating safely. Through are four key divisions and dedicated specialists our work allows group businesses to deliver successful results for their clients.

We currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 8000 trucks, vans and cars, together with over 20,000 items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from our Regional Supply Centre.

As the Breakdown Supervisor, you will play a key role in providing crucial first line technical support and will supervise a team of Breakdown Controllers. You will ensure that unplanned maintenance events are managed in accordance with current Service Level Agreements and that the business delivers a 'best in class' customer experience. 

As the Breakdown Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

Provide first line technical support for the Breakdown Controllers

Ensure the effective management of both internal (owned assets) and external (x hired assets), breakdown response times are logged, tracked and managed to a suitable conclusion ( within agreed SLA times)

Logging and tracking breakdown data, for reporting purposes

Ensure that inbound and outbound calls are managed in accordance with current Service Level Agreements

Updating and managing the JobWatch scheduling system

Ensure that all Purchase Orders are transacted in a timely manner

Updating IT systems with information as required

Adherence to policy, process and working methods

Storage of documentation as required and work with all members of the team to develop the operational solution

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

Strong technical background, preferably a time served engineer from a plant and vehicle background

A high and detailed level of product knowledge

Capability to take ownership and responsibility

Strong commitment to delivering high standards of customer service

Ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure to strict deadlines

Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
