My client based in the Telford area is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager on a Permanent basis. As a manufacturing company they will require a suitable candidate who comes from a similar background, someone who is focused on maintaining existing customer relationships whilst developing new business.

The main responsibilities associated with the role includes

- 50/50 split between new and existing business
- Take control of sales and marketing activities
- develop and maintain customer relationships based on yearly performance
- Identify and focus on key target clients
- control and monitor product line profitability and pricing strategies
- Manage product R & D requirements for the division and monitor progress
- Complete management reports and paperwork as required

The success of the role will be measured by the following

- Number of new customers added to the business
- Order collected via sales visits
- key customer development
- growth of existing customers
- marketing activities undertaken
- Sales target performance
- new products introduced to the business

The salary for this position is negotiable for the right person and it includes a company car
