We manage the contract for the waste control and management at Luton Airport and are looking to recruit new operatives to work 4 on 4 off work patterns with rotating shifts of 4am to 4pm and 10am to 10pm.

We are looking for additional operatives to champion best practice waste segregation at London Luton Airport under our new contract. Working as part of a team on site to proactively collect waste from both landside and airside and segregate waste to maximise recycling performance. You will be part of a team of operatives which will grow as passenger numbers increase following the easing of COVID restrictions.

Immediate starts are available for these positions.

Key Responsibilities

Adherence of safe systems of work at all times.
Efficient collection and exchange of bins across site.
Maintain high standards of recycling segregation
Supporting segregation of other waste streams on site.
Comply with the site/Company H&S policies and procedures.
Ensure good housekeeping of the waste storage locations across the site.
Other general labouring duties as and when required.

Requirements

A current UK driving license preferred.
Must be able to apply for and secure an Airside pass to enable completion of duties.
A DBS check and full reference history for 5 years will be required.
To be physically fit and able to work in outside conditions.

In return we will offer you guaranteed hours and a permanent contract whilst giving you a competitive salary of £23,712 per annum with an additional bonus scheme of £200 a month and a probation completion bonus of £250.
