SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate about making a difference for children with SEND and you are looking for your next role in the Hull area?

Tradewind Recruitment are working with SEND schools in Hull and are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with children with a variety of SEND needs. The role is full time and for a least a term, often extending for the full academic year or longer.

The school is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and can support a variety of curriculum activities but also be able to think on their feet and offer an alternative to classroom learning when needed. The school supports Autism, PMLD, SLD, MLD and Medical Needs. Their Mission is to empower students to be responsible, independent, and confident young people. They aim to provide an inclusive, personalised, stimulating curriculum which is enjoyable and accessible for all.

The school offers some great facilities that enhance children's learning, enabling them to thrive and flourish and become independent learners. There are many opportunities for outdoor learning, with trips to the park and local area.

The school's mission is to work in partnerships with parents, carers, and outside agencies to provide positive experiences that create meaning for all learners to become successful. Pay for these roles are from £70 per day. The hours are from 8:30am until 3:30pm.

With access to support from the rest of the teaching team the time spent in school will be an enjoyable one - this is somewhere that encourages learning through different experiences including outdoor learning, classroom learning, teamwork, and collaborative learning.

The school is looking for:

Experience of Autism, Complex Needs or Medical Needs with children or young adults which is essential
Manual Handling, Team Teach Training or Personal Care Training is desirable
Experience of working in a Care or Education environment is essential
A candidate who uses initiative and is willing to get involved as part of a team
