We are recruiting for a Project Planner on a permanent basis for our client based in Turriff.
 
Job Roles and Responsibilities
 
·To create and maintain Project Plans specific to each major project
·To provide capacity charts based on resource availability and workload
·To provide planning support on Sales Support activities when required
·To liaise with the various departments (Engineering/Projects/Manufacturing/Supply chain) to ensure that tasks are updated regularly with the correct information
·Report to the various stakeholders with relevant/up-to-date information as required
·Clearly identify and report any 'major' schedule slippages/changes/clashes and their potential impact
·Input relevant resource requirements into departmental resource plans and regularly present to the Management Team
·To deliver projects on time and within budget according to specific requirements
·To analyse and evaluate projects and report back to the Projects Manager as to how the performance can be improved
·Ensure all project plans are subject to revision, as per project requirements, distributed and filed correctly within the appropriate project file.
·Adherence to relevant internal procedures and processes
 
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS  
 
Essential
·Practical experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning software
·Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their sequencing within a project
·Prior experience interfacing with multiple departments and managers to obtain and report information
 
Desirable
·HNC in Engineering or working towards  
·Previous involvement with similar scale and type of manufacturing/service projects
