Learning Support Assistant

Teaching personnel are looking for learning support assistant to work in a fast paced and exciting SEN school within Plymouth. The role will start October 2022 with working hours Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm

The school have a smaller approach to learning with fewer pupils in a class or 1:1 support on site. You’ll access learning and take part in a wide range of activities both in and outside of the school site. This is a perfect opportunity to gain significant experience within a griping educational setting.

Role Responsibilities:

Working with children in the classroom and in the surrounding community helping them access education

Collaboratively working with other support assistants and teachers to deliver fulfilling educational sessions

Supporting students reach their potential through small groups and 1:1 sessions
Required Skills:

Proactive member of staff able to think on their feet
Experience working with SEMH needs
Work well in a team
Proficient in behaviour management
Level 3 driver 
Previous experience in youth work, sports coaching or intervention work

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38 plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
