Sewell Wallis are urgently looking to speak to any established Accountants who can speak basic German and would be available for a short-term contract with a large, global organisation based in Leeds.

Our client has won multiple awards, one naming them as one of the best large employers in the UK, offering a fantastic and flexible working environment. They are now looking for an experienced Interim Accountant, who can support a division based in Germany whilst being based in the UK through a period of change, for 3 - 6 months.

This role could be based in Leeds/hybrid working, or given the language skillset required, remote applicants within the UK will also be considered.

As the Interim Accountant your role will include the following duties:-

-Completion of reporting required by Europe and the US teams to support monthly and annual financial information required by the SMT
-Delivery of accurate monthly financial accounts/reporting within required deadlines
-Reconciliation of accounts payable and support relevant month end close activities
-Processing of monthly advance VAT return
-Posting and reconciling bank account transactions
-Dealing with internal customers and extern vendors
-Support the annual accounts and audit process by working closely with the auditors and Head of Finance
-Ownership of balance sheet integrity ensuring appropriate controls are implemented to manage risk

You do not have to be a qualified accountant for this position, what is important is that you can hit the ground running and are a confident basic German speaker/word translator.
