A leading logistics and freight forwarding organisation, specialising in sea, air, and road freight as well as worldwide supply chain logistics for clients of all sizes, is looking to recruit a Customs Clearance Coordinator, to join their team in Heathrow.
This role is open to candidates who wish to begin a career within Customs/Freight Forwarding, but also those who have prior experience.

Working Hours:
8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
There will also be plenty of overtime available, for those who wish to work additional hours.
Main Purpose of the Role:
The Customs Clearance Coordinator will work closely with Customs and Customs Clearance Manager to accurately collect the required information to process Imports clearances in compliance with HMRC guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Dealing with day-to-day customer queries
* Processing customs entries
* Coordinate the customs between the customer and internal function
* Deal with internal and external queries effectively and efficiently
* Spot and raise any issues causing goods to be delayed through customs clearance documentation errors, especially giving cause to possible extra costs
* Accurately input data provided by our customers into Cargowise software system
* Liaising closely with the port
* Monitor the clearance status of shipments
* Provide release notifications to enable cargo to be delivered
* Liaise with warehouse to be aware of timescales
To Be Considered:
* Strong communications and organisational skills
* Excellent IT knowledge including Microsoft Office
* Strong work ethics with focus on attention to detail and accuracy
* Understanding of Import Customs requirements is advantageous
* Previous experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry, and/or with perishable goods is an advantage
* Strong planning, organisation, and prioritising skills
* Team player and self-driven with positive attitude
