Location:  Redbridge 
Role :  Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
Start Date :  Immediate start  
Contract type : Full time , Temporary to Permanent  
School Hours : 8.30am -4.00pm  
We are looking for experienced Primary SEN Teaching Assistants, to support children across KS1. You must have a solid understanding of SEN, mainly Autism and SEMH, as you will be working 1:1 and occasionally taking small groups. This is a great opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and skills in a particular area of SEN. There will be ongoing support for your professional development, and you will join a supportive team in a school in the Redbridge area.
Primary SEN Teaching Assistant Specification:   

A solid SEN background – Autism and SEMH experience
Seeking someone who is creative,  proactive , resilient and can get the best out of the pupils  
Previous experience working with Primary children will be essential  
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting Primary pupils on both a 1:1 basis, as well as supporting in small groups  
You will be willing to work as part of a team and be flexible, to support the needs of the pupils  
The successful candidate will be able to put the needs of the children at the forefront of what they do , taking into consideration any pupils in the classroom with special educational needs  
Able to travel daily to Redbridge

An interview with the Head Teacher will be part of the selection process – you will be assessed on the following: relevant Primary experience , knowledge of Safeguarding policies, competency and situational based questions in a Primary context . If successful at interview , this will then be followed by a trial day working with the children to assess suitability in the post.
