You will be working within an Outstanding Ofsted rated 11-18 secondary school based in Birmingham who pride themselves on their dedication to promoting a positive and inspiring framework where achievements are recognised and celebrated. Our school are seeking a motivational and engaging English teacher to join their hard-working, supportive, and forward-thinking department, who can develop ideas for lessons and approaches to teaching. You will play a key role in sharing your enthusiasm and passion for your subject, to help each student to achieve their potential.
To be successful for this role, you must:
Have recent experience teaching English within a school setting on either a permanent or temporary basis
Hold qualified teacher status (QTS / QTLS)
Eligibility to work within the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer a FREE online Safeguarding training course
Able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years of employment history
Experience teaching English at key stage 3 and 4.
A positive mindset with a passion for teaching and learning
Able to establish constructive and positive relationships with your pupils
Demonstrate strong classroom management
Committed to raising attainment
