We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planning Manager to work for a market leading Modular Construction business who are part of a global group. The role will oversee all planning and manage a Project Planner to monitor existing projects and collate weekly reports. Applicants will need to have site based project planning experience within a tier 1 main contractor.
Project Planning Manager Main tasks;
Overseeing a Project Planner to monitor existing projects and collating weekly reports.
Produce fortnightly progress report for current projects pre construction and on site for the Head of Construction.
Input in to monthly ‘Work in Progress’ reports and attend monthly reviews with senior management and site teams.
Produce Fortnightly workload schedule (summary of all current and pipeline projects) to assist with factory capacity and resource planning
Reporting to the Contracts and Project Managers on projects with no Project Planners on site progress providing independent project progress analysis including KPI’s and mitigation strategies where appropriate, recognising the Contract Managers as the owner of the programme.
Work with work winning team with planning input for all stages of tender process
Work/liaise with Design lead/managers and Commercial lead/managers to produce fully integrated project programmes.
Ensure all programmes and record keeping are filed in the correct/agreed place. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate project programmes, look ahead programmes and final as built programmes that clearly define any delays and the reasons for the delay.
Ensure all sites have up to date and current construction programmes.
Assist the site team to produce short term planning 8 week and 4 weeks look ahead
Strong site based planning experience gained within a UK main contracting environment with demonstrable experience of operating in a similar Project Panning Manager role, experience in tier 1 construction essential and Modular construction preferable .
Use and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Project, Microsoft suite of software and knowledge of JCT and NEC Contracts
Experience of working educational / health /residential would be an advantage although not essential
Appropriate qualifications / CSCS Card,
Performed this role on contracts ranging between £2 and £30m in value with a reputable contractor
Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
