The Role

We now have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our multi contract site based on Grange Park, Northampton.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for providing effective leadership within the relevant contracts, ensuring operational budgets are maintained.

Shifts - Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 06:00

Key duties

Motivate and lead teams, through their immediate reports to ensure all internal customer KPI are delivered as a matter of routine.
Take accountability for direct interface with representatives of the customer on a regular basis, including attendance at all customer reviews.
Assist with the management of all key people related activities including absence and performance management.
To actively participate in all site and contract-based business improvement plans and continuous improvement activities.
To influence cost effectiveness and cost control within the agreed budgetary parameters.  
To assist with the ongoing development and progression of the contract’s management team.
Ensure the safety of colleagues and visitors by adherence to all health and safety regulations and guidance.
Support or lead with the site senior leadership management team with any projects 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience of managing high volume warehouse/ parcel sortation
Customer driven, ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
Able to lead and motivate a large team.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a flexible approach and desire to ensure the contract team deliver’s quality, accuracy and monitor the performance of individuals within the teams to ensure that they routinely deliver excellent customer service.  Flexibility is required to ensure that customer expectations and requirements are delivered
