Make a difference to an individual's life
As part of this role, you will be supporting a 16 year old girl with a diagnosis of autism and learning disability. Behaviours that challenge can be presented. You’ll have the ability to think on your feet and will be comfortable assisting with personal care, medication, food preparation, social inclusion, activity support, behaviours that challenge, monitoring and responding to periods of distress.
The shifts are 12 hours and can vary between days and nights depending on the vacancy. The work is assigned on rolling rota with a weekend in/weekend off so flexibility is important for this position.
As a Community Care Worker you’ll bring
The ability to lead teams of healthcare workers, be quick thinking, make the right decisions at the right time and bring your nursing training to life with person-centred care.
Passion, patience and understanding
A desire to make a real difference to the lives of people in need.
6-months of paid patient-facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility and professionalism
The right to work in the UK
Previous experience caring for service users with Autism and Behaviours that challenge.
Comfortable completing MAPA face to face and reviewing it annually.
Advanced training will be provided as part of this role.
