Skillection Ltd are currently recruiting for a newly qualified engineer to join their client who is a friendly and busy manufacturing business based in Barnsley.
As this is a newly created role and a training role; it would suit a candidate who has recently qualified as an engineer and completed their apprenticeship.
This truly is a fantastic opportunity for this individual to develop their skills as a manufacturing maintenance engineer.
The ideal candidate
* The ideal candidate will need to be technically minded
* Able to demonstrate numerical and scientific ability
* Have problem-solving skills, with a keen desire and passion to grow as an engineer.
* You must be a multiskilled individual with a bias in electrical and electronics
* Experience with basic mechanical skills and good educational background i.e. HNC/Apprenticeship background in electronics / mechanics / maintenance engineering or similar.
The Role
The role will involve checking, repairing and servicing machinery, plant equipment, tools, systems and infrastructures to ensure that our client’s production lines run smoothly and reliably.
Ongoing training, development and career progression come hand in hand with this fab role.
Hours to start would be 06.00 - 15.00 Monday - Thursday and 06.00 - 10.00 Friday (Flexibility is also expected from time to time).
The hours eventually depending on experience and knowledge pick up would move on to rotating shift pattern from Mornings / Afters / Nights and ultimately rotating weekend call out between three engineers.
The Client
The client has a range of PLC's in their machinery from Allen Bradley to Mitsubishi but; however they do very little programming of these PLC’s. Therefore, as a candidate our client would expect to show logical thinking for fault finding, a good eye for detail due to the tolerances they work to and be able to eventually run on your own two feet and be dedicated, committed and drive.
We are looking for someone who will be pro-active and be happy to work on own initiative once fully trained.
We would also like the successful candidate to take on board product knowledge to aid production issues.
To be considered for this role please submit your CV via the online instructions or call Helen (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion. Please don’t delay, this is a great opportunity. GOOD LUCK
