The Business

Be a part of one of the largest and most monumental brands in the UK. Operating across 150+ countries, with several thousand redeployment opportunities at any one time, this is a business where you will never sit still, (unless you want too of course)!

If you want to be part of the second-largest infrastructure build programme in the entire country, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future infrastructure connectivity of the country then there is no better place to work.

The Role In a Nutshell

Looking for a business forecasting manager with strong statistical & analytical skills to turn data into knowledge. Good knowledge of MS Excel is required along with strong stakeholder management.

The Team

Understanding the demand for products is critical to the business. To ensure they've just the right resources - in total and skill sets - to deliver to customers in an efficient way. Too few and you struggle to deliver, too many and you're wasting money. This team is a critical, unbiased and independent view of the potential impact.

The Role

This role is responsible specifically for the Low Bandwidth products within the Ethernet portfolio (which provides fibre-based point-to-point connections to end customers across the business access market).

The forecasting manager will be responsible for accurate forecasting of new connections, rental base and revenue of the 100 Mbit/s and 1Gbit/s products across the UK. As well as enabling the business to plan the resource needed to deliver connections on time for end customers, manage supply chains and understand the financial impact, the insight this role will provide will support key commercial and operational decisions.

Skills & Experience

Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into forecasts are vital for this role.
At times you'll have to deal with contradictory information and have to extract key 'signals' from conflicting data using your judgement and initiative.
A high level of business acumen is key, along with a focus and strong commercial experience/judgement.
You'll need to have great people skills and be able to develop relationships with stakeholders and work as part of a virtual team. At times you'll have to challenge, influence and negotiate across these groups to a successful conclusion.
You'll have to be able to cope with large datasets and complex excel models without dropping any attention to detail or losing sight of the bigger picture.
You'll be able to adhere to tight timescales which can sometimes conflict, and be able to deliver to deadlines.
Business experience in a numerate role.
Use of Excel and equivalent software to a high level.
Business forecasting experience would be preferable.
Experience using Anaplan, SQL or Python would be beneficial.

Your Responsibilities

Building a solid understanding of the Ethernet delivery process and factors affecting completions and be accountable for demand, completions, ceases and revenue forecasts; explaining key drivers and changes to the business to stakeholders.
