Salary: £21,00 - £26,000 (Dependant on shift and location)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week with various shift availability across days, afternoons and nights.

Or client are seeking Operational Support Officers to assist the Ministry of Justice in the field monitoring of individuals in the local area. You will track and support individuals to complete their sentences outside of the prison via electronic monitoring equipment. On a day-to-day basis, you'll visit individuals in their own homes to support with the installation, calibration and decommissioning of electronic monitoring equipment (electronic tags).
No experience is necessary as you will join a friendly and welcoming team who will support you to learn and develop and once your training competencies have been met you'll either work alone of alongside a monitoring support officer. Your ability to build relationships and rapport with anyone you meet will make all the difference, as this role is all about people. You know that everyone deserves respect and not to be judged. You'll build the subjects confidence in both you and the justice system, reassuring them of their safety, as well as that of the general public. With every successful case, you'll be directly helping to reduce the pressure on the prison system and give ex-prisoners the chance to be part of their community again. Every day and every subject is different, which is what makes this role so varied and full of opportunities to learn. It also means you'll need to be resilient as you adapt to new situations each time.
What you'll be doing:
Visiting subjects' houses to install, calibrate and decommission electronic monitoring equipment
Checking and cleaning equipment on issue and collection, as well as quarantining any equipment needed for evidence
Liaising with the control centre to report any issues or subject breaches
Showing respect to subjects to build confidence in the justice system and in their safety
Keeping paperwork up-to-date and following standard operational procedures
Taking part in meetings with your team and line manager.
