Manager – Children’s Residential

On behalf of a leading Children’s Residential Provider, we are recruiting a Manager (40 hour contract) for a Children's Residential home situated in Sandwell. Providing a warm, safe and friendly home for Children with learning difficulties, autism and mental health problems.

The right candidate will have:

* Minimum of two years' experience as a registered manager or an experienced deputy manager wishing to progress to management

* Good knowledge of CQC

* Proven leadership and team management skills

* Relevant NVQ qualification level 3/4 or 5 Diploma

* Experience of an OFSTED inspection resulting in Good or above

* Knowledge of the children Act 1989 and Quality Care Standards

* Knowledge of previous and new updated OFSTED Regulations

* Full, clean driving License

* An enhanced DBS on the update service.


Our company has 3 clients living in their own flat, in the same block and has a CQC rated as GOOD. We are looking for a new manager to grow our business and incentives will be offered for any new packages that the home takes on. The successful applicant will also help us to expand the business into the Birmingham area.

You will have to have local knowledge of working within Sandwell Social Services and Commissioning. This position does require the applicant to be a hands-on manager and do 1-2 sleep ins per week.

You will possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), be highly organised and able to remain calm under pressure with a real passion to make a difference to the lives of the children and young people in your care.
