Job Purpose
A Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving and delivering our international growth strategy and expansion of our service in UK Sales activity within a given region through market research, increasing competitor knowledge, and completing strategic sales activity. Working via the Head Office functions, you will work to increase the Client base and maximize business opportunities with an aim to make EWL Group the supplier of choice. You will support the International Business Development Director` in driving Sales & Marketing activities, client meetings/presentations, data analysis, and a variety of other business activities.

Main areas of responsibility

* Responsible for supporting and driving sales plans, tender proposals, and demonstration of the EWL Group model to customers

* Establishing and developing relationships with prospective clients

* Maintaining existing client relationships ensuring SLA’s and KPI’s are met via working closely with the branches

* Monitoring market awareness of all service centres

* Ensuring that the market awareness is maintained

* Controlling Sales activity and marketing plan for the region

* Communicating Sales activity to the service centres

* Weekly reporting of all business development activities

* Business development activity responsibilities for all service centres in a region and supporting other sub-sections of the Smart group

* Responsible for telemarketing activity and increasing brand awareness via visits and industrial estate drop ins

* Market research activity – social networking, telemarking, cold calling

* Attending business networking and EWL hospitality events

Qualification/Experience required

* Educated to degree level in Business, marketing or allied services from an accredited institution or qualified by experience

* 2 years of professional experience in sales or operations within the Recruitment industry


Skills and Competencies

* Qualified by experience- preferably 1-2 years experience within the Recruitment Industry

* Effective communication skills in both written and verbal

* Excellent sales & negotiation skills

* Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills

* Strong influencing skills

* Ability to apply modern influencing techniques for sales and marketing strategies

* Strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills

* Good business sense · Initiative, drive, and enthusiast
