The Role:

You'll join the Local Authorities vibrant Tenancy Sustainment department in a vital Income Officer role that looks to streamline their rent collection service. They take pride in our customer service standards and your efforts will play a key part in maintaining it. By making arrangements to enforce all arrears and related tenancy conditions, their early intervention methods aim to prevent accumulated debt and homelessness.

You'll be required to keep up to date with relevant legislation and welfare reform, you'll support residents by carrying out new tenancy home visits, office appointments and telephone interviews, to assisting with online payment administration and benefit entitlement.

Your customer-first approach will involve knowledge exchange, best practice, new staff training and the efficient, diligent upkeep of financial records. By working collaboratively with wider departments within the organisation you'll be responsible for delivering an excellent and effective service.
