Role: Waking Night Support Worker
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Brampton and Carlisle
Salary: £22,588.80 per annum (£10.86 ph)

Main details:

Accountability
* As a member of the waking night team you will be accountable to the registered manager.
* You must also be accountable for attending all training courses, and completing your Diploma 3 Qualification, and any other developmental opportunity the company provides for you.
* Please note you will need to commit to completing some of your Diploma 3 Qualification at home and in your own time.
* You must be accountable for striving for the best outcomes for and with our young people
Some - Key Tasks:
* You should assist sleep-in staff with the evening routine of young people this will also assist you in “building positive relationships” with the young people.
* To be responsible for the house, property, security and all persons within during the night: 21.30 – 08.00. Arriving on duty,
* To undertake domestic duties as directed by the Registered Manager / Shift Leader these are noted on your waking watch recording sheet.
* To ensure the house in general is clean, tidy and well presented.
* To undertake a security patrol around the building during your shift
* To be aware of all our young people, who they are and what their needs are.
* Have a “real” awareness of the “lone-working” policy, as through the night when the sleep-in staff are in bed you will be on the “floor” yourself, unless you require assistance.
* To be aware of the need for absolute confidentiality regarding staff and young people
* To report any staff and young person complaints and keep a log of all nocturnal movements and incidents
* To report immediately any incidents of fire, damage, theft and other irregularities to the senior member or staff on duty
* Your main duty is ensuring that all young people are monitored and that they are safe in their rooms and that you assist the Support staff with the young people
