MEP Quantity Surveyor required to work for an established contractor in the Cambridge area. With the phenomenal growth and plans for this business you have every opportunity to further your career and grow within this region in the near future. As well as playing a major part on major projects.

In this case the project approx £50m and an within the MOJ sector, major project, working very close with the construction/build teams.

You will need to ensure commercial & contractual control and co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of this project is achieved. Team work is imperative and clear communication whilst been able to organise your own work load.

Your role is to ultimately manage any costs associated with the project, while safeguarding the position of the client in any cost-related discussions

This role will suit an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor with 5-10 years experience who has worked across a variety of commercial / industrial projects. It would be advantageous that you have worked to NEC / JCT forms of contracts and understand various risks with forms of contracts.

You will be responsible for:

Cost planning
Supporting the Commercial Manager
Accountable for the profitability of the projects, and develop an appropriate commercial strategy for the project to ensure delivery of required margins
Contribute to the management of a contract cost reporting system, ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked with budget/tender allowances, commitments and deviations highlighted and managed.
produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final accounts.
Manage packages
MEP Procurement
