We are looking to recruit a Principal Recruitment Consultant to join our very busy Sheffield office.

This exciting opportunity is full time with flexible working patterns, a rewarding salary £30k - £35k Basic and great benefits including a generous bonus scheme.

OBJECTIVE

Ensure the company’s Sales, Margin and Gross profit targets are achieved. To develop our sales into new customers, geographic areas and vertical markets. Building relationships with Clients and Candidates. To Line manage your team to ensure full adherence to the REC code of conduct and legislative compliance.

PRINCIPAL RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT TASKS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

·Manage your team’s activity and performance.

·Develop your own desk to achieve growth.

·Develop current business through pro-active canvassing of new, current and lapsed clients.

·To take accurate and detailed job specifications from clients and match suitably qualified candidates to the role.

·Ensure regular contact is maintained with clients and candidates, prior/during and post assignment.

·Target growth through vertical markets and specialisms including permanent.

·Grow the service offering in other geographic locations.

·Ensure internal processes are followed and recruitment software is up to date.

·To mentor and coach new employees to ensure they can be a success and asset to the business.

·Carry out periodic performance reviews for staff to ensure targets are met, training needs are addressed and performance is in line with budget expectations.

·Report on market research, recruitment & competitors to your line manager.

·Monitoring and management of team/individuals KPI’s.

·Contribute to the production of tenders and pricing documents as required.

·Deputise for Line Manager during periods of Absence/Holidays.

·Other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by senior management.

·Identify with line manager any CPD requirements.

All duties to be carried out within a climate of co-operation, support, honesty and efficiency, providing personal commitment to meeting the needs of clients, candidates and colleagues.

Working relationships: -

Internal Departments, Clients, Candidates & Trade associations/bodies

Review and Appraisal Mechanism: -

Monthly review with Line Manager

Annual appraisal with Line Manager

Principal Recruitment Consultant Desirable Skills & Experience: -

·Degree educated

·Min 5 years Education Recruitment Experience

·Proven business winner

·Target driven

·Excellent office skills & Computer Literate

·Good negotiation skills & commercially astute

·Articulate with an excellent telephone manner/skills.

·Well organised

·Team working

·Ability to prioritise own workload whilst provide support and guidance to team

·Good listener who is diplomatic & sensitive to employee situations

·Customer/candidate focused

·Ability to plan, allocate and evaluate workload of team

·Business focussed with a flexible and positive approach to work
