The role
The difference our new I-Admin KIM will make
As an I-Admin KIM you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role is as a computer-based operative carrying out non-regular issues with IT processes within the RAF MOD Net system which cannot be resolved by Unit, Section, Super-Users.
Day to day, you'll document and record management: create, maintain and delete sites, establish and maintain appropriate access permissions to SharePoint and set up default data in team sites. The task is completely computer based with tasks being uplifted from an on-line Tasking Tool. This Tool contains a list of requests for IT assistance which have been submitted by personnel throughout the Royal Air Force. It is not solely site-specific, you will become a member of a virtual, digital team of around 10 people who are physically based at various RAF units, with the Hub of the Team located in Lincolnshire. You will also build/setup digital collaborative work areas (Sharepoint, Team Sites, intranet sites, site collections and document libraries). This position provides subject matter expert (SME) support to Super Users on how information could be organised digitally and to manage limited site collections and areas. The team is to process and fulfil incoming requests & tickets for support from the Air Cyberspace Service Centre
The location for this specific requirement is RAF Boulmer, Alnwick, Northumberland, with the ability for flexible working as a hybrid being available.
Essential experience
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with people of all levels.
* Computer literate in Microsoft office with the ability to adapt to other IT systems.
* Flexible and able to accommodate change within an agile working environment.
* Full clean driving licence.
DESIRABLE:
* Understanding of MoD IT processes, procedures, and systems.
* European Computer Driving License. (ECDL)
* Obtain or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
