Commercial Marketing Manager

Location- Birmingham

Contract type- Permanent, Full-time

crooton has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Marketing Manager to join a well-established client of ours based in their Birmingham office, however with the availability of working in either Birmingham, Bristol, or London, UK. Our client runs the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network, offering 4G in more places than any other UK network.

As a Commercial Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing stakeholders, and customer segmentations, and using insights data to drive commercial performance and execute customer base marketing activity. You will be a key contributor in building customer journeys (including update, retain, upsell, and deep sell and engagement)

If successful, you will be expected to bring your strategic vision and drive for results to the table as their Commercial Marketing Manager to help them dominate the competition.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Taking ownership of the squad’s customer and commercial strategy- setting targets underpinned by clear plans and initiatives to drive incremental value & engagement
Quarterly forecasting & ‘in quarter’ outlook
Defining segment targeting, understanding, and briefing squad on detailed eligibility rules
Proposing strategies and visions for customer base journeys
Working closely with key stakeholders across the squad to identify areas of performance optimisation (campaigns, analytics, data science, and channel optimisation)
Accountability of briefing squad on initiative objectives, customers eligibility rules, and taking an idea to execution and evaluation
Supporting, refining, and prioritising the product backlog
Preparing requirements and executing projects changes in the squad & wider support teams

As such, the ideal candidate will have/ be:

5+ years of commercial, marketing, and/or proposition experience
Commercial acumen
Excellent leadership qualities
Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement through analysis
Previous experience in various stakeholder management & influencing within the squad
Solution focused with the ability to break through complex issues
Proven track record of being a self-starter in previous roles and able to take on and develop new skills
Experience working in agile operating models and working within squads
Ability to input strategy & vision
