Due to increased demand for their services, this employer is now actively searching for a Welder to join their York facility on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Welder will include:

Working as part of the Service Centre team, tasked with the mechanical overhaul and repair of a wide range of industrial components for use in a variety of industries, such as Food/FMCG, Steel Processing and Power Generation
Carrying out MIG, TIG and Sub-Arc Welding overlay processes in line with work-scope and repair procedures
Reading, interpreting and working directly from mechanical engineering drawings

For the Welder position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

Formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Fabrication or similar (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
Experience in ANY kind of Welding process (MIG, TIG, Stick, Sub-Arc etc.) - training can be provided

Working Hours of the Welder:

Regular day shift working 40 hours per week, spread across 5 days:

Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 15:30
Friday - 07:00 to 12:30

Basic Package of the Welder:

Annual Salary: Up to £33,030.40 (£15.88 per hour)
Frequent overtime available paid at 150%
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days per annum - rising with continued service
9% Combined pension contribution (4% employer / 5% employee)
Company Wide Annual Bonus: Up to £1,000.00
