My client are a precision manufacturing business based North Birmingham specialising in machining and assembly of high value low volume components.
The Planning MRP Analyst in coordination with the Planning Manager will be responsible for the Seiki manufacturing system inclusive of work scheduling, creating production queues and operational reports. This role will be responsible for operational capacity planning and level loading plans, the creation, updates and analysis for Obeya processes. The Planning MRP Analyst will create and update information analysed through the Planning PDCA board as well as create and update all planning documentation for production.

Seiki (planning software) scheduler, upload and maintenance
OEE reporting from Seiki
Creation of Level Loading plans for machine shop and assembly
Creation and maintenance of Obeya wall 2 sheets a week
Assembly Weekly/Monthly build plans
Weekly shipments tracker for Obeya
Update PDCA boards with KPI’s and daily board updates etc.
Carrying out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested

Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
Excellent knowledge of production planning systems
Experience of EFAC’s is desirable
Experience in MRP (Manufacturing resource planning)
Strong skills, knowledge and experience of MS Office and ERP systems
Competent in the use of mathematics and statistics
Strong organisational and planning skills
Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
Have or able/willing to obtain security clearance
The successful candidate will be required to ‘hit the ground running’ and quickly understand the key challenges and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving strategy and comfortable balancing both short- and long-term results
