Housing Support Worker
3 Month Temporary contract with the possibility to go permanent
£17-£19 per hour via umbrella
35 hours, Mon - Fri some weekend working and shift work
Duties and responsibilities of a Housing Support Officer.
Working on 1-2-1 basis on caseload of adults (16+) facing homelessness
Support young people transition from homelessness to stability and independence.
Working with young adults who have faced various levels of trauma, rejection, neglect, violence and isolation
Liaising with third parties
Ensure the scheme is clean and tidy and up to health and safety standards,
Ensuring residents are able to understand tenancy issues, their rights and responsibilities.
Advise and assist residents with tenancy/benefit related issues including assisting with benefit claims.
To be successful as a Housing Support Officer you need to have:
Experience in Social Housing
Good Organisational skills
Good people Skills
Good Admin/Written skills
This post requires a basic DBS clearance
