£28,000 - £43,000 plus SEN allowance
As an SEN teacher you need to teach either individuals or small groups of pupils within, or outside the class, prepare lessons and resources and assessment children who have long or short term learning difficulties and work with colleagues to identify individual pupils' special needs.
For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS or QTLS along with experience of working with children with SEND, SEMH and ASC. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective classroom teaching, which engages and motivates young people, you'll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you'll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. Specific duties:
Assist in maintaining a positive culture encouraging the development of SEN curriculum
Prepare and deliver lessons to meet the needs of SEN pupils.
Produce and develop high quality teaching and learning materials using a variety of methods
Any other duties consistent with the general responsibilities of the post as may be required from time to time in addition to those listed above. This can include cover for absent colleagues
This position is to work within an independent specialist day school, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with a wide range of varying needs including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attachment difficulties (AD).

Essential:
QTS or QTLS
Successful teaching experience with SEN
Ability to identify and support learners with differing needs
Ability to manage diverse groups of learners in varying environments
Ability to encourage learners and promote the importance of education

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Seriously committed to quality delivery of education and be an active communicator with the ability to interact with LAC.
Enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility to move educational success forward across the school
Ability to work with staff and learners providing inspiration and support

Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable. The willingness to embrace processes of change and development
