Learning Mentor

Magisters Education are looking for an experienced Learning Mentor based in Enfield, London that an start ASAP.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Provide a complementary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in a school setting in addressing the complex needs of students who need help to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside school, in order to achieve their full potential.
Work as part of a team, including school staff and other agencies to ensure outstanding progress and achievement for students.
Be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, who is able to make the significant contribution required to secure the very best outcomes for SEND students at the school based in Enfield.
Working with children who are either excluded or at risk of exclusion.

About the School

The candidate will be working in a mixed special school, which caters for young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The school supports the students during Enrichment, and they work with external providers and community groups to broaden their Enrichment offer.

They schools literacy principles enable the school to create a cohesive community that has a consistent approach to the teaching of vocabulary, reading classroom talk and writing strategies.
