Working in an exciting and developing Key Stage 2 department

AK Teaching are currently working closely with a Primary school in the Durham area. This primary school who pride themselves on their relentless pursuit of excellence are looking to recruit a Yea 5 Primary Teacher to add to their KS2 department to start after Easter to cover the maternity leave of their current primary teacher. This would be a very rewarding and exciting position for either newly qualified or fully qualified primary teachers with support and enjoyment at the heart of the school’s development.

JOB ROLE

As a Year 5 Primary Teacher, you would be joining a school with very clear values and this is something that is very much supported and guided through as a new starter within the school. The headteacher has a strong senior leadership team that will support the new teacher.

The Role:

Year 5 Primary Teacher
Long Term 1 year contract
Asap start
No particular needs in this specific class - broadly average SEN and EAL needs
Joining a welcoming and enjoyable KS2 department

JOB CANDIDATE

You must have:
• An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
• Good organisational skills
• Flexibility and creativity
• Enjoy working with children
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour
• Patience and a sense of humour
• A Valid Teaching Qualification
• Experience working in schools or educational settings
• An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
• A valid DBS (Can apply if needed)
• Eligibility to work in the UK (Two references, including your current or most recent employer)
