We are currently supporting an education provision who are looking for a HR Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will work 40 weeks per year - term time + 2 additional weeks. FTE salary is £27,000 - £30,000, however actual salary will be between £24,000 - £27,000 dependant on experience.

Working hours are 8am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 3:30pm on a Friday.

This education provision strive to provide an excellent HR service across the organisation. As a HR Advisor within a generalist capacity, you will lead on all HR related matters, and be the first point of contact for all HR processes such as queries, onboarding, recruitment, and more. You will have support from the Senior HR Advisor and HR Director day-to-day.

The Role:

Lead on the recruitment of staff for the provision
Administer the new starter process
Responsible for drawing up contracts of employment for all new staff and ensure appropriate written confirmation of any changes to employment contracts are distributed to staff on their start date or before and forward for payroll processing
Create and maintain accurate employee records on the electronic HR system
Be responsible for processing contractual change information
Managing employee family friendly processes in line with policy, legislation and best practice
Manage flexible working requests in line with policy, legislation and best practice
Be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of staff absence on your site
Supporting absent staff, conducting welfare checks, arranging and holding staff absence meetings, making occupational health referrals where appropriate, liaising with managers, signposting to the Employee Assistance Programme where appropriate, discussion possible reasonable adjustments/phased returns etc
Manage the staff leaver process for your site
Effectively advise on and manage a range of employee relations cases and HR processes through to completion
Administer the appraisal process for staff
Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR best practice and legislation
Assist and support with the creation and implementation of HR policies and proceduresRequirements:

Experience of working in a generalist HR team
Experience of managing low risk ER cases through to completion
Strong communication and IT skills
CIPD qualified or relevant experience
Ability to build strong working relationships
