Electrical Installation Engineer

Salary: £32,000 plus overtime OTE £40,000
Working hours: Monday to Friday days – hours to suit (7am to 4.15pm or 8am to 5.15pm etc)
We are looking for an Electrician / Electrical Installation Engineer to work in a friendly, skilled engineering team.
This Electrical Installation Engineer position would suit a skilled electrician / electrical engineer seeking a single site role, working to support a busy manufacturing environment. You might have a domestic electrical background with some experience of industrial installations. Using your excellent electrical skills, knowledge and experience, you will ensure the site meets Electrical Engineering Standards by delivering site electrical testing, repairs and maintenance activities to the highest standards, working closely with the wider site services team to maintain the site infrastructure.
This business plans for the long term and is committed to training and development. This opportunity comes about due to the current engineer moving to retirement, with a substantial period of handover and knowledge transfer build in. They have a healthy training budget to use annually on training. This business works with the local community hiring apprentices and developing their employees.
Throughout the pandemic this manufacturing business continued to manufacture, in a safe manner. Their products were in high demand.
Joining this manufacturing business your daily activities as an Electrical Installation Engineer will include:
Supporting the business culture of “Safety First” by maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Electrical installations & alterations carried out to current BS7671 regulations
Statutory scheduled inspection, testing & documentation
Electrical Project support
Review & plan work orders
Engage with stakeholders to ensure minimal impact to production when undertaking works
Time served Electrician with Installation, testing & verification knowledge and experience
Working to Electrical Engineering Standards
Continuous improvement approach and experience
Overtime paid at time and a half and double time.
Overtime available but not expected.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
