Kennet Solutions are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join an establishd Highways and Civil-Engineering contractor in West London.

The company is involved in major capital works and maintenance contracts for the likes of National Highways, TfL Kier and Balfour Beatty to name a few.

The Role

* Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will manage the various Southern Region projects

* You will be key in supporting with new tenders, managing multiple contracts and leading a team of Project Manager and Site Agents

Other Responsibilities include (not limited to):

* Meeting with clients to find out their requirements

* Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales

* Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of business contracts

* Dealing with any unexpected costs

* Liaising with technical and financial staff, legal teams and the clients representatives

The Candidate

* 8+ years experience as Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager)

* Significant experience in the Civils industry

* Car and UK Driving Licence

* Detailed knowledge of construction industry practices

* Knowledge of procurement, contract documents and practice

* Excellent motivator and team builder

* Good interpersonal relationship skills with confident, resilient approach

* Confident when dealing with challenging and sometimes difficult individuals

* Ability to build rapport quickly with directors and senior managers

* Confident when advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
