We are currently seeking an efficient, responsible and accurate Warehouse Operative to join a family-run SME based in Reading. Your role as a Warehouse Operative is to assist in preparing goods for sale and maintaining an efficient, safe and tidy warehouse.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* To receive and check in incoming supplier deliveries

* Carry out the correct storage of goods in the warehouse

* Accurately Pick and Pack incoming orders

* Despatch orders via courier or companies own van

* The ability to work to the company’s systems, yet proactively look for improvements and communicate these with their line manager

* An ability to produce a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness in all areas

* An ability to collaborate effectively within the business, both with stakeholders, colleagues and customers

Requirements

* Competence on Counterbalance and Pivot Steer Forklift (preferable)

* An ability to collaborate effectively within the business, both with stakeholders, colleagues and customers

* Able to contribute to a good team spirit and act according to the company values

* Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst managing changing priorities

* Have a positive outlook and a willingness to learn

* Fast moving and able to adapt to new systems and process improvements quickly

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm (Total hours per week: 42.5)
