Caritas Futures is looking for an experienced Specialist Support Worker to work with a well-known national Charity as part of their trafficking and modern slavery service

As a highly competent Specialist Support Worker you will be responsible for taking a lead role in a specialist area or working within a specialist programme and/or team to plan and deliver a high-quality support service.

Duties:

* Provide pro-active service and advice to service users who have experienced trafficking to keep them and their children safe.

* Identify and assess the risks and needs of trafficked victims

* Managing a caseload

* Advocating on client’s behalf

* Support Service Users through the CJS and/or Immigration Service

* Understand legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults

* Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support

Essentials:

* Previous experience or knowledge of providing advice and support to individuals who have been trafficked.

* Experience providing casework support to vulnerable clients, including crisis management and risk assessment

* Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of victims

* An understanding of the criminal justice system, immigration law, safeguarding children, and legal responsibilities.

* Strong organisation and diary management skills

* Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months
