Appoint Consulting is proud to be working with a well-established, legal firm in the Grimsby area to recruit an experienced Paralegal to join their team.

Purpose of the Paralegal role:

You will be a main point of contact for Lawyers and support staff to go to for assistance and also manage your own case load where necessary.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Paralegal:

* Drafting legal documents and correspondence, including letters of claim and witness statements

* Conducting legal research and preparing court bundles

* Communicating with clients, witnesses, and third parties

* Assisting the senior members of the team with their caseloads

* Handling own caseload of files (where appropriate) from instruction, to issuing proceedings and enforcement and under the supervision of a more senior fee earner.

* Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision.

* File creation

* Completion of client questionnaires

* Drafting of petition/court documentation

* Attend routine meetings/interlocutory hearings.

Requirements for the perfect Paralegal:

* Experience within a similar role is desirable

* Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines

* Great attention to detail and communication skills are required
