Brand & Category Analyst

I am currently recruiting for a Brand and Category Analyst position with a leading national retailer based within their London office. Working within the Category Planning Management team this role has a big role to play in supporting the growth of the organisation and improving overall business processes. You will be responsible for assisting in delivering a strategy that leads to the creation of optimal ranges to drive incremental sales value based on accurate market, competitor & customer intelligence for the Category teams.

Typical responsibilities of the role will include:

* Main point of contact for all brand & category analysis

* Use data and insights to form recommendations to improve the Own Brand performances.

* Translating set objectives into detailed actions plans for both range and merchandising delivery .

* Provide analytical reports and presentations to the own Brand team to assist them in understanding the product growth opportunities.

* Assisting with overall sales predictions / projections

* Identify range opportunities that unlock incremental category spend and satisfaction through an improved brand offering.

* Regularly analysing various data ensuring a broad mix of sources are referenced

* Continually review significant brand category changes to learn from and amend ranges as required.

* Deliver expert commercial analysis advice to the team.

* Quantify new data sources to enhance the existing commercial data models.

The ideal candidate will be / have:

* Strong technical expertise in commercial analysis gained within a Retail / FMCG environment.

* A logical and efficient work ethic with a strong attention to detail

* Strong IT skills with advanced MS Excel and Power BI

* The ability to effectively prioritise workloads and manage conflicting deadlines.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in liaising at various levels within the business

* Comfortable working in fast paced environment with a strong team focus.
