Due to continued expansion at BPX, we are looking to strengthen our team and recruit a Regional Manager to lead our sales and operational activity across the North of England, serving both new and existing customers from our locations in Sunderland and Wakefield.

You will be responsible for leading, coaching and motivating the sales and operations teams across the North and will be responsible for developing and implementing a plan to deliver the next phases of growth for the company in this Region.

This opportunity is made for a strong people manager with a successful track record within Industrial Control and Automation, who can build relationships, switch easily between strategic and operational matters and develop a high-performing team, focused on delivering exceptional customer service and improving operational efficiency.

Regional Manager Duties:

Lead, coach and motivate sales and operations colleagues across the Region, ensuring high performance and employee engagement across the team
Deliver profitable sales growth through development of both new and existing business within defined geographical area
Meet or exceed the targets for the financial year across sales growth and margin improvement
Build trust and develop strong relationships with customers, manufacturers and colleagues, ensuring that BPX are the ‘partner of choice’
Maintain presence in the branches and support teams in both sales and operational activities. Act as an escalation point, as required.
Take ownership for effective inventory management within the branches, ensuring the right balance between product availability and stock turn. 
As required, lead recruitment activity for the Region on new appointments across internal and external sales, in addition to warehouse operatives and delivery drivers.
Implement learning, development, and career growth plans for team
Support on marketing activities such as campaigns and promotions to increase customer awareness product launches, events, competitions etc
Attend meetings, supplier events and industry conferences to promote awareness and benefits of working in partnership with BPX
Regional Manager Requirements:

Experience in B2B sales, ideally with strong track record within the industrial control and automation market at either a manufacturer or distributor
Commercially astute with sound understanding on key topics such as price positioning, margin mix, payment terms etc
Strong people leader who can recruit, retain and continually develop BPX colleagues
Familiar with the market dynamics between manufacturers, distributors and customers
Strong relationship builder, communicator and team player
Customer centric, able to identify challenges and present solutions in a consultative manner
Organised and able to prioritise as required
Familiar with systems and able to produce reports across sales activity, opportunity management and stock profiling
