Job Description
One of our clients in Cambridge is seeking a full-time Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of mechanical systems, including building services and maintenance.
The role will be to provide an effective planned and reactive mechanical and multi skilled maintenance/repairs to a clients' site. To complete processes and procedures to ensure both Business/client satisfaction and perception. Ensure site compliance with local legislations and provide planned and reactive maintenance to site assets.
Build close working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery above expectations.
Provide support and assistance to Account Manager with all aspects of the contract delivery manage key suppliers to ensure a professional delivery is achieved and all works are conducted professionally
Responsibilities
Install and maintain a variety of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
* Troubleshoot mechanical systems and identify any necessary repairs.
* Perform regular maintenance on all mechanical systems in order to ensure their proper functioning.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for building service and maintenance systems.
* Monitor compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
* Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
* Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
* Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service.
* Monitor, inspect, and test mechanical systems and equipment on a regular basis.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior personnel.
* Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects.
* Communicate with other departments and personnel to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
* Knowledge of building services and maintenance systems.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
