SF Recruitment is partnering with a leading organisation within its field in Shrewsbury, to recruit a buyer in their established supply chain function.  The organisation is happy to invest up-front in the incumbent’s development & training with CIPS support on offer. Duties - 
- Oversee & develop the supplier relationships 
- Negotiation to achieve the best commercial terms & agreements for the business 
- Ensure suppliers adhere to procedures , terms & conditions
- Identify best routes of supply
- Source , in the most cost effective way , items needed for the business/customer base

Deliverables - 
- Regular supplier meetings for influence & control
- Achieving savings across portfolio & regulatory reporting on them
- Work cross-functionally to agree on and manage product tendering
- Identify new & current supplier capable of supplying new ranges

Skillset Requirements -

- Proven negotiation skills

- Ability to build effective & commercially beneficial supplier relationships

- Familiarity with & able to manage purchasing/supplier kpi's
