Our client is an experienced provider of home care and supported living services, with a focus on offering exceptional care and support for children and young people with complex requirements. They strive to create a nurturing and comfortable home environment allowing them to express themselves, feel secure, and enhance their quality of life.
The Role:
As a Children’s Home Manager you will provide assistance to children and young adults who have complex needs and learning disabilities, such as developmental delays, autism, and other intricate conditions. You will assist these individuals to achieve independence and experience meaningful interactions both within both within the home and out in the community.
Duties:
Ensure that all young people in the home are safeguarded at all times and receive personalised care that is tailored to their specific needs
Identify the most suitable living arrangements for each individual after having utilised a rigorous assessment process and placement matching system.
Maintain a consistently high level of compliance with Ofsted standards.
Take responsibility for liaising with relevant professional bodies, such as LADO and local authorities, to address any safeguarding or operational concerns affecting the quality of care provided.
Establish and maintain high-quality services that prioritise long-term placements for young people and strive to deliver exceptional outcomes and experiences.
Ensure that all staff members are adequately trained and developed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Conduct staff evaluations and regular supervisions in line with company policies and procedures.
Develop and update company policies and procedures in accordance with evolving Ofsted regulations.
Ensure that the homes are safe and presentable, promptly addressing any health and safety concerns as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous working experience as a Children's Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a childcare setting.
A thorough understanding of and experience with complying with Ofsted's children's home regulations.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification.
Full UK Driving Licence
