FLT Driver

Working in partnership with a prestigious client in the shipping & cruise sector and are recruiting FLT drivers for its busy stevedore operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an Employer of Choice that offers career progression, training opportunities and flexible hours!

Shift pattern / Working hours

(Up to) 12-hour shifts, Days + Nights available dependent on vessel traffic.

Due to the nature of vessel traffic and tide times, start times can vary.

FLT driver roles are starting ASAP and is an ongoing assignment. Perfect for those requiring ongoing, flexible, full or part-time opportunities.

Job description

As a FLT driver you will be involved in the movement of cargo on and off of cruise ships

Cargo can range from luggage to stores and provisions

Full training will be given through “on the job” partnering with our experienced training team and through classroom sessions.

Sticking to clear safety and quality standards to ensure cargo is moved safely and efficiently

The successful candidate:

Must have experience and a license for driving an FLT

Will be flexible to work across days and nights depending on vessel times  

Either Part Time or Full Time.

Committed, team player with a keen eye for safety.

Reliable with good timekeeping.

Some previous experience as a Port Operative, Warehouse Operative, Labourer or other similar roles would be advantageous but not essential!

We are also recruiting for telehandler driver roles, if in doubt get in touch!

Scope for refreshers for candidates with existing or expired plant licenses.
