Zapsa ltd are a specialist Talent Acquisition Consultancy working in the Renewable Energy, Environmental, IT, Sustainability sectors. Our client a London-based sustainable energy investment specialist are looking for a Technical Asset Manager to join their team.

About The Role

We are looking for someone with experience in Operations Management, and/or Asset Management, to help manage the expanding portfolio of ground mounted, commercial rooftop and residential rooftop solar assets located in the UK.

The role will be varied and will include the following responsibilities:

*

Manage suppliers, O&M contractors and service providers, including managing O&M and EPC contracts, ensuring contractual obligations, performance guarantees and service level standards are met.

*

Maximise total return for each asset through the analysis of system efficiencies and identify opportunities for improved performance.

*

Identify potential warranty and insurance claims and manage these to completion with the support the O&M subcontractors and Finance team.

*

Bring together data from multiple sources to ensure that the company has up to date and accurate data on the performance of each asset against approved budgets.

*

Prepare regular technical reports for internal management, external clients, Lenders and the Board of Directors

*

Attend and contribute to various internal and external meetings including team meetings, asset management meetings and Board meeting

*

Ensure compliance across the portfolio with project contracts, HSE, regulation and policy

*

Undertake site visits and audits, identifying any technical issues and operational risks related to performance, planning and HSE.

*

Provide technical assistance in the development and acquisition of new assets and ensure the timely and accurate onboarding of these asset

*

Deal with post close obligations on all acquisitions, including oversight of punch list items, repair processes or similar issues.

*

Assist the Technical Director with the negotiation of new EPC and O&M contracts as well as potential contract modifications.

*

Assist the Finance Team in setting and the managing the annual performance, out-of-scope and MRA budgets.

*

Support, coach and lead other members of technical asset management team to ensure the best performance from the team.

*

Establish/refine systems and processes to improve commercial and technical oversight of projects and performance monitoring

*

Any other additional roles that the Company may communicate to you from time to time.

About You

*

A keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability

*

An electrical engineering degree or degree in a similar discipline

*

More than three years’ experience in the renewable energy sector and more specifically in Operation & Maintenance or Asset Management of solar PV assets

*

Good analytical skills and knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and other data analysis software

*

Strong written and communication skills with report writing experience.

*

Experience in construction and/or storage would also be beneficial

*

The role will be Home based with a minimum of 2 days in the London Office
