Nicholson Hird Ltd is working in partnership with a specialist materials manufacturer in the recruitment of an accomplished and ambitious Maintenance Engineer to support the relentless drive for world class engineering performance at a fast growing site in Wrexham, helping to take the engineering department from good to great. This client achieved 25+% growth last year and supply a wide range of safety critical materials into several industry sectors. Very well established with a low staff turnover, they offer excellent opportunity for progression into a leadership role with budget for training and development

The Maintenance Engineer will work to create a strong culture of preventative maintenance resulting in optimum availability and yield, whilst also managing engineering projects, working closely with specialist subcontractors as required.

Key skills

* Time served engineer – either multiskilled or with electrical bias

* Previous experience in a Engineering Maintenance role, in an industrial setting, medium to heavy engineering environment

* Strong knowledge of maintenance best practice and CMMS

* PM, TPM, predictive maintenance, reliability, CBM

* Keen interest in developing into a leadership role in the short to medium term
